Admissions and Fees


Admission to the program is open to anyone interested in pursuing a career in accounting, finance, economics, or consulting. Admission to the Haas School of Business is not required or expected. We encourage all UC Berkeley students to apply. All majors welcome!

To apply you will need to:

  • Complete the application
  • Write a short personal essay
  • Attach your transcript(s)
  • Attach your resume


Application deadlines are: January 2, February 13, and March 31, 2017. Admissions decisions will be released 1-2 weeks after each deadline. Due to space limitations, we encourage you to apply early. Your application will be evaluated on the overall strength of your academic record and career goals.

Please note we do not assist with or provide housing.

Upon acceptance into the program, a non-refundable deposit of $995 is required to hold your spot in the program.

In some instances, course substitutions may be allowed if students have previously taken introductory courses at other institutions or have taken any BCPA course at Berkeley-Haas. Approved course substitutions will result in a discount of the overall program cost. If you have taken all of the BCPA courses at Berkeley-Haas, you may still elect to receive a BCPA certificate for a fee and will receive all of the BCPA benefits.

Eligible UC Berkeley students may have financial aid applied towards their course fees. To learn more financial aid opportunities contact the UC Berkeley Financial Aid Office.

A limited number of merit based scholarships are available to UC Berkeley students. To increase your chances of receiving a scholarship we encourage you to apply early.
