The Executive Unit of the Office of the California Attorney General is in the process of creating a new Innovation Unit in the California Department of Justice. This will be a cross-cutting unit to help us improve the way that our department delivers services to the public. In particular, we are looking for students backgrounds in accounting to help us design how this new unit will operate.
Students will work with senior level staff in the department to help create budgets and an operating structure. This opportunity will offer hands-on experience in applying the agile thinking of start-ups to help make change in government. For more information, or to apply, please email Drew Spence.
Saint Francis Foundation ("SFF"), established in 1979, is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds that support patient care, capital improvements, and life-saving programs at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital ("the Hospital") and the Tenderloin neighborhood.
Saint Francis Memorial Hospital is San Francisco's leading non-sectarian community medical care center since 1905; it is affiliated with Dignity Health. The Hospital serves more than 100,000 outpatients annually. Located at 900 Hyde Street near downtown San Francisco, the Hospital is at the nexus of two neighborhoods of extremes -- the affluence of Nob Hill and the urban poverty of the Tenderloin. The Hospital contributed over 8.5 million cost adjusted dollars in charity care to the San Francisco community in 2011 -- Saint Francis Memorial Hospital turns no patient away!Read more about this opportunity.
