The Accounting Faculty of the Haas School of Business and Center for Financial Reporting and Management are pleased to bring back this exciting annual conference. This year we will be delving in to the relationships between accounting and the technology industry.

Tech companies are always evolving. So are the accounting challenges they face. Issues related to the use of equity as incentive compensation, valuation, churn, revenue recognition, and acquisitions all present challenges and opportunities. This conference brings together accounting standard setters, regulators, corporate financial executives, professional accountants, and academics to discuss current trends and issues.

The Berkeley-Haas accounting faculty regularly receive awards for their excellence in research and teaching. Professors Patricia Dechow, Jose Plehn-Dujowich, Yaniv Konchitchki, Panos Patatoukas, and Richard Sloan have all been honored by the American Accounting Association for their contributions to the accounting literature. Additionally, Professors Panos Patatoukas and Yaniv Konchitchki have both been named Top-40-Under-40 by Poets & Quants.

Our undergraduate business program tied with MIT as #2 in the US News & World Report 2015 ranking; the Full-time MBA Program ranked #5 in the US by The Economist in October 2015; and the Evening & Weekend MBA Program ranked #1 by the US News & World Report, 3 years running.

Accounting @ Berkeley covers all aspects of accounting, from the basics to cutting-edge research. We understand that learning never ends–as we say at Haas, we are "students always" – so we engage accounting professionals through continuing education, conferences and programs. We look forward to seeing you at our next event. To learn more about the next annual conference and to register, click here.
